95% SDA 40B (190 proof) is the american standard grade for perfumery alcohol, made in Canada from canadian grain. SDA stands for specially denatured alcohol. It contains: ethanol (95%), water (5%), tert-butyl alcohol (traces) and bitrex (traces). Bitrex (denatonium benzoate) makes it so bitter as to discourage people from ingesting it. Tert-butyl alcohol is also a denaturant, but in trace quantities, such as it is present in SDA-40B, it's absolutely useless. Water is interesting. In its natural state, in ambiant conditions, ethanol will capture the moisture in the air until it reaches 5% of water. You cannot prevent this to happen and you can't get rid of water by distillation alone below this point as this blend, called an azeotrope, has a lower boiling point than either of its constituants (ie: water and alcohol).

Conflict Free, GMO Free. It's the best solvent to use in perfumery. Period.
